In over 30 years of artistic practice, Nives Widauer has created a diverse and complex network of inter- and intra-communicating works. From the beginning she has worked in exchange with other artistic medias and with science. Her work and life flow meanders through a wide plain and always seeks the sea, that entirety. In the first of three planned exhibitions at gallery rauminhalt_harald bichler, we find ourselves in the rooms of an archaeologist trying to understand her own future. She is not present, but it could be her apartment, or her office, let's call it her cabinet. "In the archives we create to understand the future, the present is explored and the past is dreamed," the artist says, adding Jacques Lacan's phrase: "You never see me where I see you.

Among the works that will be visible in the gallery are the bronze casts from the cycle "The Space" 2011-2020 and works in porcelain (SUGARBEE 2016) and on paper (MELLA FLUANT TIBI, 2017) on the theme of honey and Rome.
Also present will be the series BODYTALK/PARACELSUS, which emerged from years of exploration of our bodies and our connections to nature.

The exhibition is intentionally planned for this phase of the pandemic: in its complexity it allows a deeper insight into the work of Nives Widauer and also stands for slowing down and communication.

Sichtbar sein werden in der Galerie unter anderem die Bronzegüsse aus dem Zyklus „Der Aufraum“ 2011-2020 und Arbeiten in Porzellan (SUGARBEE 2016) und auf Papier (MELLA FLUANT TIBI, 2017) zum Thema Honig und Rom.
Ebenfalls wird die Serie BODYTALK/PARACELSUS, die aus der jahrelangen Auseinandersetzung mit unserem Körper und unseren Verbindungen in die Natur heraus entstanden ist, präsent sein.

Die Ausstellung ist bewusst für diese Phase der Pandemie konzipiert: in ihrer Komplexität erlaubt sie einen tieferen Einblick in das Schaffen von Nives Widauer und steht auch für Entschleunigung und Kommunikation.

Nives Widauer hat in über 30 Jahren künstlerischer Praxis ein vielseitiges und komplexes Netzwerk unter- und miteinander kommunizierender Werke geschaffen. Von Anfang an arbeitet sie im Austausch mit anderen künstlerischen Medien und mit der Wissenschaft. Ihr Arbeits- und Lebensfluss mäandriert durch eine weite Ebene und sucht immer das Meer, dass Ganze. In der ersten von insgesamt drei geplanten Ausstellungen in der Galerie rauminhalt_harald bichler befinden wir uns in den Räumen einer Archäologin, die versucht, ihre eigene Zukunft zu verstehen. Sie ist nicht präsent, aber es könnte ihre Wohnung sein, oder ihr Büro, nennen wir es ihr Kabinett. „In den Archiven, die wir anlegen, um die Zukunft zu verstehen, wird die Gegenwart erkundet und die Vergangenheit geträumt“, meint die Künstlerin und fügt noch den Satz von Jacques Lacan dazu an: „Nie erblickst du mich da, wo ich dich sehe.“
