Herwig Turk lives an works in Vienna (Austria)

 

His projects create touchpoints in the intersection of art, technology and science.


From 2010 to 2013 he was artist in residence at the IMM (Instituto da Medicina Molecular), Lisbon.
From 2003 to 2009, Turk worked with Paulo Pereira, head of the ophthalmology department at IBILI (Institute for Biomediacal Imaging and Life Sciences, Coimbra).
Since 2020, he has been working with Zdravko Haderlap on the artistic research project www.landschaftlesen.net.
 

 

In recent years, his works have been exhibited, among others, at the MMKK Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten in Klagenfurt, at the Kunsthaus Wien, at the MAK Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna, at the Seoul Museum of Art in South Korea, at the Neues Museum Weserburg in Bremen, at the Sinclair Museum Bad Homburg, at the TESLA Laboratory for Media Art in Berlin, at the Galerie Georg Kargl in Vienna and at the Transmediale in Berlin. From 2014 to 2021, he taught as a senior artist in the Social Design department at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
