Das seit 2014 mit einer Wiener Repräsentanz etablierte französische Auktionshaus Artcurial überrascht diesen Herbst mit einer ungewöhnlichen Schau.
Die Galerie rauminhalt_harald bichler empfängt vom 05.10. bis 08.10.2021 Artcurial mit der Ausstellung Mona-Lisa, auf den Spuren von Leonardo da Vinci. Ein Highlight der Schau stellt eine, aus der Zeit stammende Kopie des weltberühmten Gemäldes der Mona-Lisa dar.
Während es an Kopien und Variationen der Mona-Lisa von gestern und heute, auch auf dem Kunstmarkt, nicht mangelt, ist diese hier eine seltene Version mit vielen Qualitäten, die am 9. November 2021 bei Artcurial in Paris mit einem Schätzwert von 150.000 bis 200.000 € angeboten wird:

Das frühe, auf einer Tafel gemalte Gemälde, dessen Ausführung sowohl sorgfältig als auch stilistisch überzeugend ist, ist ein wichtiges historisches Zeugnis für das Verständnis der großen Bedeutung der Erwerbung durch den französischen König zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts - also lange vor der Wiederbelebung der Berühmtheit, die der Diebstahl des Gemäldes zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts mit sich bringen sollte - und für die Faszination, die dieses unsterbliche Lächeln auf die Maler seiner Wahlheimat ausübte.
it is an early piece, painted on a panel and is meticulously executed in a distinct style. It is an important and historic testimony providing an insight into the importance of the acquisition made by the King of France, François I at the start of the 16th century – thus well before the revival
in interest following its theft at the start of the 20th century - and the fascination exerted by the immortal smile on painters of her adopted kingdom.
This oil was painted on an oak panel circa 1600 and is estimated to fetch between 150 000 € and
200 000€. The painting will be on display from 5 and 8 October in Vienna, 27 to 29 October in Brussels and from 5 to 8 November in Paris, before coming under the hammer on 9 November at Artcurial in Paris.

The French auction house Artcurial, which has had a representative office in Vienna since 2014, is surprising with an unusual show this autumn.
From 5 October to 8 October 2021, Gallery rauminhalt_harald bichler will welcome Artcurial with the exhibition Mona-Lisa, in the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci. A highlight of the show is a period copy of the world-famous painting of Mona-Lisa.
