Stools with seven legs, polyhedrons hanging from the ceiling, models of garden pavilions - these are just three examples of the examination of geometry and space!
Why is it that in Leonardo da Vinci's drawings of the divine proportions we find so many irrational shapes, such as a pentagonal pyramid? And which spaces can be generated at all in the interlacing of platonic forms?
The installation at rauminhalt_harald bichler gallery oscillates liberally between these questions - sometimes directed quite concretely at the basic need
of sitting, sometimes in a mathematically abstract way, free of scales and utility, and finally leaning towards architecture, in the playfulness of pavilions, pleasure houses, and Follies.Stools with seven legs,
The exhibition title "Diagonal Crossing" reveals Martin Feiersinger's way of working and thinking: a passion for geometry that can be drawn across in all directions - both as applied art in mixed forms and mannerisms, as well as in its weightless ideal form.

Hocker mit sieben Beinen, von der Decke hängende Polyeder, Modelle von Gartenpavillons – dies sind nur drei Beispiele der Auseinandersetzung mit Geometrie und Raum!
Warum nur finden sich bei Leonardo da Vincis Zeichnungen zu den göttlichen Proportionen so viele irrationale Körper, wie etwa eine fünfeckige Pyramide? Und welche Räume lassen sich überhaupt in der Verschränkung von platonischen Körpern erzeugen?
Die Installation in der Galerie rauminhalt_harald bichler oszilliert frei zwischen diesen Fragen – mal ganz konkret auf das Grundbedürfnis des Sitzens gerichtet, mal mathematisch abstrakt, frei von Maßstab und Nutzen, und schließlich der Architektur zugekehrt, in der Spielart von Pavillons, Lusthäusern und Follies.
Der Ausstellungstitel „Diagonalquerung“ verrät eine Arbeits- und Denkweise von Martin Feiersinger: die Liebe zur Geometrie, die sich in alle Richtungen durchqueren lässt – sowohl als angewandte Kunst in Mischformen und Manierismen, als auch in seiner schwerelosen Idealform.
